Joe T.
Addiction Recovery Specialist
My name is Joe T., and I am a mental health and addiction specialist committed to helping others rebuild their lives. I am in recovery myself and the 12-step program has shaped my worldview and professional path. My lived experience as a recovering addict allows me to connect with clients on a deeply authentic level. I graduated with honors from Trios College’s Mental Health and Addictions program, developing strong skills in both clinical and community recovery models. I began my career at The Recovery Place, where I supported residents and facilitated groups on emotional regulation, relapse prevention, and spiritual growth. My approach integrates the 12-step framework with self-taught Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help clients reframe limiting beliefs and create healthier behaviors. I draw from both spiritual and clinical recovery principles to meet people where they are. My focus is on promoting self-awareness, accountability, and sustainable change. I believe recovery is not just about abstaining but about building a life worth living. I have sponsored many individuals, guiding them through the 12 steps and witnessing lasting transformation. Every success reaffirms my belief that change is possible for anyone willing to do the work. Turning past pain into purpose is not just my profession—it is my purpose.
