B.A Addiction Therapy Specialist
Sheila was born and raised in London, England and after emigrating to Toronto in the 1980’s worked in the social services and medical field. Sheila was employed in a variety of capacities in Medical Services at the University of Toronto, Departments of Psychiatry and Pathology while also working towards her Bachelor of Arts Degree. Furthermore, Sheila engaged on a therapeutic level with women in distress and created group programs and workshops related to self-esteem and relationships.
Healing, teaching and motivating individuals has always been a passion and to this end she became a Certified Coach Practitioner, establishing a successful private practice in Halifax while studying NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) counselling clients of all ages struggling with weight loss, body image, and food addiction. In 2013, Sheila returned to Toronto and gained a Diploma in Addictions, graduating with Distinction. With many years of experience in the field of self-empowerment, Sheila brings a client-directed and holistic approach to her profession as a Counsellor and Aftercare Facilitator here at Addiction Rehab Toronto.
