Addiction Treatment in Toronto: Evidence-Based Care That Meets You Where You Are

Luxurious, Comprehensive, Private Treatment

Addiction Rehab Toronto (ART) provides expert, compassionate addiction treatment in a private, residential setting in Etobicoke, Ontario. Our clinical team builds an individualized recovery plan for every client — combining medically informed care, evidence-based psychotherapy, holistic wellness, and concurrent mental health support. Our treatment services are not covered by OHIP; private insurance and direct-pay financing are accepted, and admissions are available 24/7 at 1-855-787-2424.
Whether you are facing alcohol dependence, an opioid use disorder, stimulant addiction, or co-occurring depression, anxiety, or PTSD, our Toronto rehab centre meets you where you are and walks with you through every stage of recovery — from your first phone call through detox, residential treatment, and long-term aftercare.
Recovery is not one-size-fits-all. Every client at Addiction Rehab Toronto begins with a comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment that examines substance use history, mental health, medical needs, trauma, family dynamics, and life goals. From there, our multidisciplinary team — addiction psychiatrists, registered nurses, therapists, and wellness specialists — designs a treatment plan tailored to you.
Treatment is delivered primarily through our inpatient residential program, where 24/7 supervision, a structured therapeutic schedule, and a safe environment allow clients to focus entirely on healing. Clients who need pharmacological support begin with medically supervised detox before transitioning into therapy. Learn more about our daily structure on the Programs page, and review withdrawal management options on our Detox page.

Different substances create different physical and psychological challenges. Our programs are designed to address the specific neurochemistry, withdrawal profile, and behavioural patterns associated with each form of dependence.
Our alcohol addiction treatment combines medically supervised detox (when needed), CBT-based individual and group therapy, relapse prevention, and aftercare planning. We treat alcohol use disorder as both a medical and behavioural condition, addressing physical dependence and the underlying emotional patterns that drive drinking.
We treat dependence on prescription opioids, heroin, and fentanyl using Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) with methadone, buprenorphine (Suboxone), or injectable naltrexone, alongside therapy and life-skills coaching. Explore our dedicated programs for heroin, fentanyl, prescription drugs, methadone, and Suboxone.
Stimulant dependence — including cocaine, methamphetamine, and amphetamines — requires targeted intervention for cravings, sleep disruption, and mood swings. Treatment combines CBT, contingency management, life-skills training, and optional holistic modalities such as yoga, fitness, and nutrition counselling.
Our programs for marijuana addiction and club and party drugs (MDMA, ketamine, GHB) use motivational interviewing and CBT to address the trauma, anxiety, and social pressure that often drive recreational use.
We support clients tapering from benzodiazepines and Z-drugs, including a dedicated zopiclone addiction program that pairs medical taper protocols with psychotherapy and sleep hygiene education.
WE CAN HELP YOU
More than half of clients living with substance use disorder also experience a co-occurring mental health condition. Our concurrent disorders program integrates psychiatric care, individual therapy, and group support to treat addiction and mental health simultaneously — not in isolation. Specialized streams are available for anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care that incorporates traditional healing and community-family support.
