Alexandria Neves

B.A. (Hons), C.Y.C.P., Addictions Counsellor

Alexandria completed her Honours Bachelor of Child and Youth Care at Humber College. Alexandria is experienced in supporting individuals and their families through the journey of recovery and healing. Her employment with Addiction Rehab Toronto began in August of 2022, after completing her student internship.

Alexandria’s insight on the complex challenges individuals encounter when struggling with addiction allows for a comprehensive approach to recovery. She focuses on addressing not only the symptoms, but the underlying factors contributing to substance dependence. Her holistic approach fosters a supportive, therapeutic environment for individuals to heal. She focuses on identifying and implementing strength-based & trauma-informed strategies, with the goal of reframing negative mental, emotional and behavioural patterns. Alexandria empowers individuals to navigate their path towards growth with resilience and self-compassion.

In addition to her education, Alexandria has completed a full time internship with Humber River Hospital in the Inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit. She has experience supporting individuals in psychiatric emergencies who are experiencing severe mental health crises.

Alexandria also has volunteer experience mentoring youth with the Regent Park Community Health Centre throughout the pandemic. Alexandria has completed training in (START) Suicide Prevention and Supporting Youth Experiencing Exploitation. She is certified in (CPI) Crisis Prevention & Intervention and is a member of the (OACYC) Ontario Association of Child & Youth Care.
Alexandria has future ambitions of pursuing a master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, with the aim of incorporating psychotherapy into her practice.
