To begin, it is important to have a preliminary discussion with one of our intake coordinators in order to assess your situation and provide you the necessary program information about in-patient treatment. After this discussion takes place, a decision is made to have a Cosponsor for rehabilitation.
At times, clients have a loved one help finance their treatment and assist them in reserving a place for treatment. If this is the case, it is important to provide the full name and email address of the cosponsor to move forward with treatment.
Once the pertinent information is provided, Addiction Rehab Toronto will send you an email invitation to complete a service agreement via email.
***Due to COVID-19, our policy requires all intakes to complete the fundamental paperwork prior to entry of treatment. Incomplete paperwork may impose the intake process causing delays.
Once the information is provided, a digital envelope is sent to you for you to complete. This envelope will contain forms asking you to provide financial and medical information for the client. By completing these forms, a deposit will be taken in order to create a reservation.
After the reservation is made, Addiction Rehab Toronto will provide you with a confirmation email containing:
- The Intake Date
- Remaining Balance
- Private or Semi-private Rooms
- Length of Stay
- What to Bring into Treatment.
Following the reservation, another digital envelope will be sent to you with the remaining forms to be completed. These forms include a COVID-19 waiver, Our Service Agreement, Medication Coverage, and Contact Us Information.
*** It is important to complete and submit these digital envelopes as soon as possible in order to secure your place in treatment.
Upon Arrival into Treatment
When you arrive at Addiction Rehab Toronto, look for 4 Warrendale Court, as this is the building assigned for the intake process. You will have assistance in bringing your bags in and a staff member as well as a nurse will greet you at the door.
A primary counsellor is assigned to you and will reach out to any family members to be included in our Family Care Program.
Online Family Counseling takes place every Wednesday evening. We allow 2-3 family members to attend during the client’s stay in treatment.
The intake process begins with an initial basic physical and psychological assessment to be certain the client is capable of completing the necessary documentation to start treatment. If a client is intoxicated, medical detox begins immediately.
If the client is capable, there are consent forms to share information, if necessary, with certain organizations regarding treatment, for example, sharing medical information to receive prescription medication.
During the stay at Addiction Rehab Toronto, full access to all of the amenities is provided as well as access to various classes and forms of therapy. We provide art therapy, music therapy, addiction education, access to a fully stocked gym, a recreational centre, and much more. The stay is a combination of a fully private and semi-private residency. During Medical Detox a private room is provided, if capable, we pair those with similar personalities and/or personal struggles with addiction in a semi-private room for the remainder of the length of stay.
