Caitlin Bar
B.A Art Therapist
Caitlin is a trained Art Therapist who attended the Toronto Art Therapy Institute, and is also a freelance photographer who received her Honours Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Ryerson University. Caitlin has experience facilitating art therapy groups in a variety of settings including the mental health units of Mackenzie Richmond Hill and North York General Hospitals, Gilda’s Club of Toronto and with newcomer children to Canada. In 2014 she travelled to Tanzania, East Africa to implement an art therapy project there with orphaned children.
Caitlin has a remarkable ability to connect with people and brings an openness, sincerity, empathy and sense of humour to her work. She favours leadership that is inclusive and collaborative, and as an artist is adaptive and interactive. Caitlin believes strongly in the power of creative expression and maintaining a safe space for her clients to do so.
