Eric Felicies
Addictions Counsellor
After graduating from Wilfrid Laurier with a Bachelor of Arts, Honours Psychology, and then from the Addiction and Mental Health program at Durham College, Eric has a good grasp of the theoretical framework and complexities surrounding mental health and addiction. With this academic background, Eric strives to use this knowledge to help others positively change themselves. His goal is to empower those suffering from addiction and mental health with this knowledge, in the hopes that it gives them courage and understanding. Additionally, Eric believes this knowledge can be used to advocate on behalf of the mental health and addiction field and help people become aware of how intricate addiction is. Having worked with youth in the past, Eric has experience with conflict resolution and helping others change negative behaviours. Utilizing a client-centered approach, Eric aims to meet clients where they are by using different modalities such as DBT, CBT, and motivational interviewing. Eric is currently in the process of registering with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF).
