Maggie is an addictions specialist with a strong foundation in the social and psychological factors influencing substance use and mental health. She holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Sir Wilfrid Laurier University, where she explored the social determinants of substance use disorders and human behavior. Maggie further advanced her expertise by completing the Post-Graduate Addictions and Mental Health program at Humber Polytechnic, where she deepened her understanding of the psychological components of addiction and refined her client-centered counseling techniques.
Maggie is committed to providing compassionate, trauma-informed care and approaches her work with empathy, respect, and a focus on healing. Drawing on her academic training and professional experience, she helps clients navigate the complexities of addiction recovery, fostering self-esteem, self-compassion, and personal growth along the way. Maggie’s goal is to pursue a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) and contribute to community-based addiction care, where she aims to make a lasting impact on individuals and their communities.
